    Post Internet Explorer - No Vertical Scrollbar

    here is how you get rid of that annoying scrollbar

    JavaScript
    Code:
    var IE = (navigator.userAgent.indexOf('MSIE') != -1);

    function no_scrollbar()
    {
    	if(!IE)
    		return;
    	// no scrollbars
    	var root = document.all[1]; // IE >= 4
    	var firstCall = (root.style.overflow != 'auto');
    	document.body.style.width = root.clientWidth + 'px';

    	if(firstCall)
    		root.style.overflow = 'auto';
    }
    onload = no_scrollbar;
    onresize = no_scrollbar;
    to get rid of the scrollbars in textarea elements

    CSS
    Code:
    /* IE */
    textarea {
    	overflow: auto;
    }
    /* non-IE */
    teatarea[name] {
    	overflow: inherit;
    }

    Sorry Billy, I was just taking the piss. Normally, if you validate your site, you'll get rid of all the unwanted scrollbars ..... of course this often involves css, but that would have ruined my punchline

    I wouldn't make your CSS that messy just to get rid of the vertical scroll bar, its really not that big of a deal...

    Wink Wow

    Wow. I thought it was as easy as putting this in your header:

    <style type="text/css">
    html {
    overflow: hidden;
    }
    </style>
