    Backward Links Site to Site

I need to know how to capture a backward URL from one site to another. Example: Suppose Site X is a public site such as eBay. I have a web site let's call Mysite, and I have coded an ad in eBay with a hyperlink to Mysite. Suppose someone makes the link to Mysite, sees what I have to offer, and then wants to go back to Site X. How can I do one of the following: 1. put a hot spot button in Mysite that will take them back? That is, how do I capture the URL of Site X? 2. Allow visitors to hit the "X" to exit my site without exiting from the internet, including exiting Site X?
I realize that hitting the BACK button many times will do the job, but it is awkward. Further, people tend to hit the "X" button, which takes them out of Site X also.
