Bigger spaces between words
I know this has been asked on here b4,but i cant for the life of me find it! (and yes i have been looking lol)
I want to know how to make the spaces between words bigger using html, cause i notice that it only lets you put one space between each letter.
there's a code for it i know,so if anyone could put this up i'd be very greatful!
Re: Bigger spaces between words
use one for each space you want, but take out the space
you forgot the ; at the end just take out the space
thanks, but it worked anyway without the ; lol strange :S
hmm. . .yes, what does the ; do, exactly?
not sure, but they all have them,
& nbsp; & copy; & reg; & #153; & pound; & yen; & euro; & #147; & #148; & #151;
*tests without ;s*
© ® ™ £ ¥ &euro “ ” —
hmm for ie, at least, looks like euro is the only one that needs needs it
seems like most of the numeric ones do not need the ; but most of the umm :err: letter ones need ;. (by most, i mean the majority of a few i have tried lol)
& #128 makes €
and & #128; makes
& euro makes &euro
while &euro makes €

© ® &euro
ummm.all these codes :P i never knew how to do them before and when i always used to go on html tutorials andstuff and that space thing was there i always used to think to myself 'now why's something silly like that doing there?'
http://www.sali.freeservers.com/html/special_char.html some for you to play with
i like ♥♥♥♥♥ myself
which do need the ; . . .
maybe nbsp is just so very recognized that the newer browsers read it either way?
eek this site looks very scary with netscape 4!
hmm and with the new netscape, the euro appears any way. perhaps it does with the new ie, also?

A magical sprinkle of CSS
You could do this...
<p> this paragraph has normal spacing</p>
<p class="word">The words is this paragraph are 30 pixels apart</p>
<p class="letter">The letters is this paragraph are 30 pixels apart</p>

NOW all I need is too care that much about my websites to mess with it.
Did you leave something out that any idoit should know? Because it isn't working on my computer!!!
Is it just me? copy and paste and it didn't work!
