I make and post html greeting cards (birthdays, etc) for friends, with images and music. The music takes too long to start playing after the images appear (which they do quickly). Truncating the audio files helps but not enough.
How can I get the music to start playing sooner? Viewers sometimes see the image and click on, not even aware the was music to illuminate the graphic.
Is there perhaps a compression algorithm that makes the file smaller than does, say, mp3? (sound quality's not an issue.)
Or, better, can the music be encoded so that it starts playing immediately, before fully downloading? Or to load before the images do?
Thanks for any help!
