Who's looking for a challenge, Disable link once clicked!!! NEED HELP PLEASE

I need Help, I am trying to disable an image after it has been clicked.
Greeting to all, here is my issue and i hope someone can help and assist or to those whom like a challenge.

I am trying to have an easter egg hunt contest on my website, which most of the eggs will be placed through out the website. Now once a person finds one of the eggs they will be taken to a form to fill in their information. Which i have been able to do with out any issues. My main issue is that i can't disable the image link once it has already been clicked. I would like to only allow one click per egg or image so the contest can be fair. I can not get the image or link to cancel once clicked. Here is the html code i have written for this project. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

i have been manually going in and disabling the link after i receive an email that an egg has been found, though i don't know which egg has been found i just guess and hide one each time an email arrives.
